In addition to Gwynne Dyer's text, fully illustrated with photographs and illustrations, it contains essays on Vikings and Aboriginal Peoples written by members of the curatorial team: Kevin McAleese, Ralph Pastore, Priscilla Renouf, Peter Schledermann, and Birgitta Wallace.
	The book is attractively laid out, and features illustrations by artist William B. Ritchie, along with maps and dozens of colour photographs of Viking and Aboriginal artifacts from Scandinavian and Canadian sources.
