Mr. McAleese specializes in 18th century European and Aboriginal archaeology. As the Newfoundland Museum Archaeology Curator, Mr. McAleese has a broad knowledge of all the ancient and historic Newfoundland and Labrador cultures and their artifacts.

Dr. Wallace assisted Helge and Dr. Anne Stine Ingstad in the 1960s' excavation of L'Anse aux Meadows. Since 1975 she has directed the Parks Canada archaeology at the site. She has produced numerous publications and exhibits relating to the Viking experience in North America.

Dr. Renouf has done extensive archaeology on both sides of the North Atlantic. Her doctoral work focused on prehistoric archaeology of north Norway. She went on to explore the Palaeoeskimo sites at Port au Choix on the Northern Peninsula, Newfoundland, and has recently begun new research on the Maritime Archaic occupation of the area.

Dr. Dyer has worked as a freelance journalist, columnist, broadcaster and lecturer on international affairs for more than 20 years. Born in Newfoundland, he received degrees from Canadian, American and British universities, finishing with a Ph. D. from the University of London. Dr. Dyer is a television and print journalist of great
renown whose column on international affairs is published by 175 papers in 45 countries.
