The province’s six Arts and Culture Centres are platforms for the celebration and preservation of the unique artistry and culture of the province and stages on which to present the best of artistic talent from elsewhere to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador. Centres are located in St. John’s, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, Corner Brook, Stephenville and Labrador City-Wabush. Program areas are: Provincial Touring, Community Client Rentals and Community Outreach and Resources.
General public (resident audiences) who are the recipients of the diverse cultural program activities of the centres. Resident and non-resident artists, agents, producers, local repeat rental clients (dance schools, schools of education, colleges, amateur theatre groups, choirs), Memorial University, College of the North Atlantic, Festival organizations, Rotary, Kiwanis, other local service clubs. Cultural partners include regional artists, their agents and producers; Theatre Newfoundland Labrador, Stephenville Theatre Festival, Rising Tide Theatre, Resource Centre for the Arts, Music Industry Association, Memorial University School of Music, Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra. Visual Arts Organizations/partners, community circuit organizers and presenters, and the federal Department of Canadian Heritage.
