Welcome to the Newfoundland and Labrador Heritage Inventory Mapping System. In partnership with the Newfoundland and Labrador Statistics Agency (NLSA), this interactive tool is designed to help researchers, teachers, and visitors discover the vast range of displays and collections that exist in museums, archives and heritage sites across the province. It can also be used by government and community groups to identify interpretive gaps and guide efforts to those areas which are not being adequately interpreted.

The information was gathered through a survey of members of the Museum Association of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Archives. The Inventory lists the top 4 areas of displays and collections in order of most prominent to less prominent.
