Cape Bonavista Lighthouse Cape Bonavista has it all! Experience the power of the North Atlantic crashing against the rocks. See icebergs, whales and puffins, in their seasons, as they congregate just off the Cape. And there, where it's been since 1843, stands the Cape Bonavista Lighthouse. Imagine what it was like to live on this rugged point of land when the light in the tower meant the difference between life and death to Newfoundland seafarers.
